DEFENCE DARTS: RETURN MISSION TO VEGAS

Absolutely fantastic news reaching Bang On Target this evening regarding the ever-expanding world of Defence Darts.

This breaking story comes straight from the horse’s mouth – Zara Durrant. Hang on… that makes it sound like I’ve just referred to Miss Defence Darts as an equine creature. Figure of speech, my dear! Put the complaint form away.

Anyway, it is with enormous pleasure and pride that I can announce Defence Darts has once again been offered FOUR places in next year’s WDF World Masters (6th-11th July). Want even better news? The offer also extends to 2028! A huge thanks to England Darts for creating this wonderful opportunity. Enormously appreciated.

That means a quartet of Armed Forces personnel will be jetting off to Las Vegas over the next couple of summers to do the organisation proud. One representative from the Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and, of course, an experienced Veteran will get the nod.

Of course the burning question on everyone’s lips is will Colin be going too? Afterall, he’s got to return those goats somehow. Apparently they were on sale or return. Turns out he isn’t much of a salesman… especially when the merchandise keeps eating the paperwork.

What could possibly go wrong? Well, if you’ve heard the tales of Messrs Appleby, Humphries, Edwards and Morgan-Williams… quite a lot, actually. Not only were they arrested upon arrival for stealing a fighter jet from the RAF, they also kidnapped Mike Tyson’s pet tiger. Or am I getting mixed up with something else that happened in Vegas? Probably.

Zara informs me there will be qualifying events added to the calendar, so keep your eyes peeled. And if she asks you to fill something in, click a button or complete another form… my advice is simple – just do it. She’s like a dog with a bone. Ignore her at your peril because she will outlast you, your excuses and probably your mobile phone battery.

And after Duzza’s own trip to America, the batteries are fully recharged. Not those batteries, lads. Honestly… I was speaking metaphorically. Behave yourselves.

With the events calendar looking more exciting than a penguin who’s just spotted the fishmonger nip off for a comfort break, 2027 promises to be another bumper year for Defence Darts.

Congratulations to everyone involved. It’s another massive step forward for the organisation… and another request for Colin to stay away from goats.

Oh and you think that’s big? Wait until you hear next week’s breaking news!
